August 8, 2007 Doctors using botox to treat patients’ cerebral palsy symptoms

Doctors have begun using botox injections—normally used for easing wrinkles—to treat the symptoms of some patients with cerebral palsy. By injecting the treatment into muscles that are affected by cerebral palsy symptoms, doctors hope that they can give patients greater mobility and allow them to increase their control of muscles that are affected by the condition. March 8, 2007 Illinois couple files Erb’s palsy lawsuit

An Erb’s palsy lawsuit has been filed in Illinois by the mother and father of a girl born with a brachial plexus injury. Christy and Dennis Hartmann contend that Dr. Diana Peterson, who performed the delivery, was negligent in that she failed to use proper delivery methods for their daughter, Chrisden.
